Hassell's Mill, c.1870. Built for James Hassell in 1867. Corner of Rother and Lune Streets. Stone tower stood 65 feet high. Sails 35 feet by 7 feet. Demolished in 1909.

Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal

The medal was struck in silver and is a disk. The obverse depicts a Trophy of Arms that incorporates a central shield bearing the Royal Coat of Arms. The reverse of the medal is smooth with a raised rim and bears the inscription "FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT" in four straight lines in the centre. The ribbon is plain crimson.

Frank Pinkerton and Co Ltd, north Wansbeck Street. The Oamaru Times and Waitaki Reporter was first published 25 February 1864. Later became the Oamaru Times. (From 1872 was the North Otago Times.) Moved to Tyne Street in 1868. North Otago Times shifted to Thames Street in October 1882.

Book of lace samples. Cover is a picture of red bricks with vines climbing up, a window in the middle showing a young woman reading a letter. 7 green bricks around the window are raised. Pages are pink (although some yellowing) and sewn together. On the inside cover is written in pencil "Jessie T Chalmers, Roseneath, Weston, Oct 9th 1895"
