A right-of-way leads to Christopher Galbraith's office and timber yard; three-storied building is London House, built 1874 for R Gabites, draper. The next building is the Imperial Hotel. Blocks of Oamaru stone on street being used for construction of Waitaki House for J H Milligan, draper, whose premises opened in 1876.
