The cross is made from thick timber, appears to have been painted white originally. Top of post is slightly pointed. Cross piece is short and narrow. The copper plaque is nailed to the cross piece by way of six flat head nails. On the face of the post is a silver head of a spike, which sticks out at the back. 'PVTE. R. G.
