The following information is from a note that was donated with the item. Pottery Jar from Murphys Flat Chinese camp near Macraes. These were imported from China usually with Tiger Whiskey, a Chinese rice whiskey. |

This china tea set was a wedding gift to Mr and Mrs Malcolm in 1889 from Mr Mowatt of Mowatt and Anderson, Flour Millers, Harbour Street.
A - Tray with two attached handles with a border of pink and gold. B - Teapot lid with pink and gold border. Small steam hole. C - Teapot with pink and gold border. 4 holes go into the spout. D - Sugar bowl lid with pink and gold border. E - Sugar bowl lid with pink and gold border. Two crockery handles. F - Milk jug and handle with pink and gold border. Wide spout.
