Second from left is my predecessor [sic] and on left Russell Laurenson son of Jim L our cartage contractor. He was manger of the Vacuum Oil Coy in Dunedin when the T & P ceased operations and he offered me a job as a salesman with them. I would have liked to accept the offer. He was later General Manager for NZ and a District Governor for Rotary. He was well known as a singer. The other tall chap in dark suit is the factory manager.The truck and the shape of the cans seem to date this a good while before I went there."
