Possibly the last Draught Horse team in North Otago. Belonged to Joseph Douglass, Ardgowan. Although the team comprised seven horses, only six were used when ploughing and sowing the paddocks. Mr Douglass kept a horse team from the late 1920s (or early 1930s) until the Ardgowan farm was sold in late 1960.
