Thames Street (section 4, block 4) about 1918. Wylie & Co., Watchmaker and Jeweller, formerly premises of Joseph Moss. Now (2004) Park's Garden Centre premises. Mr W J Wylie was employed by Joseph Moss in 1889. He became a partner of Moss and, eventually, sole owner. (Wylie married Moss' daughter.) He retired in 1954 and was succeeded by E A Ballantyne. The hairdressing and tobacconist's business in the shop at right is not identified.
