Oamaru Harbour Board Chairman's chair. Large wooden chair with a high back. Four legs, each with a castor on the end. The seat, back and arms are padded with brown leather. The arms and back are ornately carved.

Sterling silver cuff bracelet. Oval shape, hinged at one side and the other has a small button which when pressed opens the bracelet. Front has small round projections on both sides. Scrolls and sprigs of leaves engraved. Raised scroll work is inlaid with rose gold. In the centre is an engraved branch with little leaves while larger leaves are inlaid and with rose gold and yellow gold. The back is plain but is engraved 'Presented to MISS S A SPEDDING - from the teachers of North School- OAMARU April 1884'.

Three lots of hallmarks lion and t, the mark for Chester and a J.B.S. These marks indicate the piece is sterling silver, manufactured in Chester, England, in 1882.

The obverse of this medal shows the uncrowned left-facing profile of King George V by Sir Bertram Mackennal. The reverse of the medal depicts St George on horseback trampling underfoot the eagle shield of the Central Powers, and a skull and cross-bones (the emblems of death). Above, the sun has risen in victory. The figure is mounted on horseback to symbolise man's mind controlling a force of greater strength than his own, and thus alludes to the scientific and mechanical developments and machines which helped to win the war.

The decoration is an oval skeletal design struck in silver, with parts of the obverse in silver-gilt. It is suspended by a thin silver wire suspension bar which is attached to a small ring at the top on the reverse.

The obverse is an oval silver band, inscribed "COLONIAL AUXILIARY FORCES" and with the Royal Cypher "ERI VII" for "Edwardvs Rex Imperator VII" in skeletal form and in silver-gilt in the centre. The oval is surmounted by a silver-gilt Imperial Crown. On reverse '1910 MAJOR JOHN MEGGETT FORRESTER 3RD BATTALION OTAGO RIFLE VOLS'. Silversmith’s marks for London, 1909, makers mark SG.

The ribbon is dark green suspended from a silver bar-brooch decorated with an oak leaf pattern.

A gilt cross patonce (four arms, each arm growing broader and floriated toward the end), with the Imperial Crown to the top arm.

On the obverse, in the centre, within a gold circle contains the conjoint bust of King George V and Queen Mary facing left with the motto “FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE”

The reverse has the royal and imperial cyphre GRI surmounted by a crown, the whole enclosed in a cable circle, with a hallmark on the lower arm.

The cross is suspended by a crown and a ring. The ribbon is rose-pink flanked by narrow pearl grey edges with a central narrow stripe of pearl grey.

The Volunteer Long Service Medal in silver with a raised rim on each side. It is suspended from a straight swivelling silver bar, affixed to the medal by means of a claw and a pin through the upper edge of the medal.

The obverse of the medal depicts the effigy of Queen Victoria wearing the Crown, a veil and the Star of the Order of the Garter. The effigy is circumscribed "VICTORIA REGINA".

The reverse shows a palm and laurel wreath that supports a scrolled banner bearing the inscription "FOR LONG SERVICE IN THE VOLUNTEER FORCE" in four lines.

Engraved on the rim is "Donald Reid, Late Captain Bruce Rifle Vols 1898."

B - Silver-plated lid "TO J. H. MILLIGAN, AS A MARK OF APPRECIATION OF COMMERCIAL INTEGRITY. 1896." Ornate handle.

Ostrich feather fan with 16 mother of pearl supports. A taxidermied hummingbird is attached to the fan. A cream coloured tassel attached to the handle. This fan belonged to Agnes Reid of Elderslie Estate.
