Oamaru South School, from Greta Street. Tablet dedicated to Charles John Connell, former pupil of the Oamaru South school, who lost his life on 20 January 1934 trying to save two companions during a fishing trip at Long Point, near the Catlins. The memorial wall and tablet were unveiled in a public ceremony on 13 November 1934.
