Stationed at Waihi for sometime then proceeded to England in 1912. Held position in West Africa in 1913. In 1914 joined King Edward Horse. Later was promoted Lieut Royal Engineering. Served throughout war and was retained by military for sometime after the war in clearing up purposes in France. From 1922 held positions of mine manager in Chile, Boliva till 1930. Mine manager in Portugal until 1939. at present? residing in England
