The obverse of the medal depicts the standing figure of Victory holding a palm branch in her right hand and stretching out her left hand. On the reverse of the medal is a laurel wreath containing a four-line inscription: "THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILISATION 1914-1919". The dates are '1914-1919' to include post-war intervention by the Allied nations in the Russian Civil War. The medal is yellow bronze and is attached to the ribbon by a ring.

The ribbon is watered silk with a double rainbow, with indigo at the edges and red in the centre.

Sells approximately 50,000 tons of output for agricultural purposes and 15,000 tons of output for industrial use - to McDonald's Oamaru Lime Ltd.

The typewritten label reads:

Sample burnt lime or quicklime. Calcium oxide CaO. From McDonald's Oamaru Lime Ltd. Weston. Employs fourteen men. Calcium Carbonated is crushed and mixed with coal and the powder pelletised and then burnt. The coal is burnt out of the pellet and removed CO2 (Aat 950oC) reducing calcium carbonate to calcium oxide. Burnt lime is used for mortar mixes and plastering, and in the manufacture of steel. Approx. 1000-1500 tons are used as burnt lime. Balance of production is converted by addition of water to become hydrated lime.

The typewritten label reads: Sample Hydrated Lime Calcium hydroxide. From McDonald's Oamaru Lime Ltd, Weston. Employs 14 men. This works manufactures about 70% of New Zealand's requirements of hydrated lime. Present output approx. 9000 tons. Used in freezing works in fellmongery departments, in manufacture of gelatine, in purification of raw sugar, in purification of city water supplies, in building industry for mortars and plaster work, in rubber works, in sprays for orchards.

A large decorative glass apothecary jar for display in a chemist shop. Painted white with polychrome and gold decoration and a blue lid.

Labelled "Magnesia" with decorated gold leaves. Above this is the Royal Coat of Arms with the lion and the unicorn.

Originally displayed in Lanes Chemist Tees Street, Oamaru.

This china tea set was a wedding gift to Mr and Mrs Malcolm in 1889 from Mr Mowatt of Mowatt and Anderson, Flour Millers, Harbour Street.

B - Teapot lid with pink and gold border. Small steam hole.
C - Teapot with pink and gold border. 4 holes go into the spout.
D - Sugar bowl lid with pink and gold border.
E - Sugar bowl lid with pink and gold border. Two crockery handles.
F - Milk jug and handle with pink and gold border. Wide spout.
G - Saucer with pink and gold border.
H - Cup and handle with pink and gold border.
I - Saucer with pink and gold border.
