First flight of this aircraft made in 1937 from the Oamaru Aero Club grounds (R Borrie's farm), Alma and reached a height of 50 feet. During the next flight the "Flea" reached 1200 feet.

"Southern Cross" at Alma airport, Totara. "Plume" fuel truck. Aircraft was the first to fly the Tasman Sea in 1928. Made a refuelling stop at Totara Airfield on March 5th 1933, during a tour of New Zealand after the crossing. Many local people took a flight in the plane at a cost of 10 shillings.
