Bracelet	Jackson Brothers	1882 1884	Sterling silver cuff bracelet. Oval shape, hinged at one side and the other has a small button which when pressed opens the bracelet. Front has small round projections on both sides. Scrolls and sprigs of leaves engraved. Raised scroll work is inlaid with rose gold. In the centre is an engraved branch with little leaves while larger leaves are inlaid and with rose gold and yellow gold. The back is plain but is engraved 'Presented to MISS S A SPEDDING - from the teachers of North School- OAMARU April 1884'. Three lots of hallmarks lion and t, the mark for Chester and a J.B.S. These marks indicate the piece is sterling silver, manufactured in Chester, England, in 1882.
Crimean War Medal		1854	Crimean War medal. The medal consists of a silver disk with, on the obverse, the diademed head of Queen Victoria and the legend VICTORIA REGINA with the date 1854 below. The reverse has a depiction of a standing Roman warrior about to receive a laurel crown from a flying figure of victory, the word CRIMEA appearing on the left. The medal is notable for its unusually ornate clasps. Each is in the form of an oak leaf with an acorn at each end, a style not used on any other British medal. The clasps are named, from the top: Sebastopol, Inkerman, Alma'. The ornate, floriated, swivelling suspender is also unique to the Crimea Medal. The ribbon is discoloured but was originally pale blue with yellow edges. On the edge is 'Peter Fitgerald 2285 REGT'. Belonged to Peter Fitzgerald or Fitgerald, of Georgetown. Peter died on 4 December 1887 aged 55. He was from Kildare, Ireland and is buried in the Georgetown cemetery. Peter's widow was looked after by Mary McAuley, a young local girl. Mary was given this medal by the widow. Mary later married and became Mary McPhie.

Plane		1890s	Coachbuilder's plane. The handle is in front of the blade. Base has two chunks out of the back. Handle is like a horn. "G.C.". stamped on plane. No visible markings on the blade.
Hand Shears		1870s	Metal blade or hand shears for shearing sheep. Single bow - possibly for use by a left hander. Marked "38", "22", "W P" A piece of leather keeps the blades together.
Candle Holder		Circa 1871	Portable candle holder.Wrought iron with black wooden handle. Brass ferrule. Brought out to New Zealand by John Grant in 1871. Used in farm servant's quarters.
Oamaru District High Dux Medal	John Hislop	1881	Silver medal, Maltese cross shaped. The centre is a raised circle. Raised on this circle is Oamaru High School Dux 1881. On the back is "HISLOP.” Attached to the medal is a black ribbon with a silver bar top and bottom. The lower bar is engraved on the edges. In the middle is "George G. Jackson." The top bar is engraved "Presented By James Holmes ESQ" This bar has a long pin slightly bent at the back, this fits into a curved hook.
