Description
Post card featuring a portrait of Private George John Roach in uniform. The postcard is from George to his sister Mary, Mrs Alex McGregor of South Oamaru. It reads - Dear Mary, Just a line to let you know I am still well & going strong, now to start with I am not going to say much as the time is getting on. I believe we go on the ship next Tuesday, so what ho well that will be alright. Remember me to all the kids & Alex & old Harry & the girls. The hat is still her [sic] so goodnight, I Am, Still Your Brother, G.J. Roach.
