Description
A black and white photo showing a large group of people gathered for an official function at Palmerston, Otago. Soldiers on horseback. Names on shops include McRitchie, Cheap Grocery Store T. M. Smith, and H.W. Oswald, Bootmaker. The Empire Hotel, G D Mason proprietor, is decorated with flags. A train is partly visible on the tracks in the background.
