The North Otago Harriers was formed in April 1931. My father James Horace Cameron, who had been a member of the Morning Harriers in Dunedin, was one of those involved in the setting up of the North Otago Harriers club. OTAGO DAILY TIMES, ISSUE 21307, 11 APRIL 1931 OAMARU HARRIERS The first run of the Oamaru Harriers’ Club will be held to-morrow afternoon, commencing from Cameron’s, Orwell street, and around the reservoir.
