First school building at Herbert. Group of pupils under Mr. Alex Pirie.
Pupils and teachers are assembled in front of the picture. The building is a substantial stone building with [probably] two classrooms, an ancillary room (or third class and an entranceway in the front. Area in front of the assembled school and building appears bare.
