Assuming the date of 1936 - 1940, is correct (or near about), the only relative in the tree, that would suit this time frame, would be Leonard Nightingale, born 3rd Nov 1927 and sadly died by drowning aged 12 yrs on the 28th April, 1940. There is no R Nightingale in the family, born that era, ie; age vs picture taken etc. Wikipedia though, defines Leonard in Maori as "Rēnata". Perhaps, each Sea Cub was given a name by the Skipper and the "R" was perhaps picked by the photographer... Sorry cant be of much more help.
