Description
NZR staff, Kurow, c 1900. Back row (Left to right): D Cairns, L Barclay, R Soulsby (driver), A McKie (fireman). Front: Hoddinott, Hesketh (stationmaster), Carrol, Fredrick Robert Bartrum holding baby Florence Bartrum. This combined railway station and post office was destroyed by fire on 3 December 1928. An intruder set fire to the building to destroy evidence that he had burgled the post office.
