104266. Looks like a late 30s Dodge or Chrysler hiding under the bunting. Unlikely to be centennial celebration as the decorative crowns displayed are the St Edwards example, that of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Prior to the Coronation of Her Majesty specific instructions were issued to ensure the correct crown was used in public presentations. The Tudor Crown had been used by a succession of King Georges and a generation of subjects had known no different so the presence of the St Edwards Crown is a significant departure and reasonably clear evidence the photo was taken after the reign of King George VI. Does the head board above the windscreen read, " The Kowhai House for Groceries"? Curious.
