Description
Crowd of people gathered near the Queen's Hotel, corner of Thames and Wear Streets. The Dresden Piano Company, W F Meldrum Agent at left. St. Luke's church and the town hall prior to the spire and clock tower respectively. The Athenaeum and Mechanic's Institute on the corner of Steward Street. Next door people are on the steps of the Pioneer Gallery building, and part of the Oamaru Gaol is visible next to that.
