View from above signal hut facing east, c. late 1870s. First railway station and goods, carriage and engine sheds at the foot of Wansbeck Street, with people standing on the platform (1874). Tyne Street upper left, Humber Street upper right. Loan & Mercantile building. Signal hut bottom right corner.
