A view looking north east from Itchen Street toward Thames Street. The first St. Paul's Presbyterian Church on Coquet Street, the peaked roof just visible in the background at left. The rear of the first Post Office (1864) at 12 Thames Street. The Bank of Otago building first at right edge, the Empire Hotel beside it on the left.
