My grandparents owned the house from about 1946 to 1958. They were Dr Alex (Morty) and Eva Smith Morton and they they kept the place immaculately. They had a full time cowman/gardener which helped. I have lots of photos taken during that period.

I always believed the the lodge was gifted to the salvation army on the condition that it was used as a home for the elderly . My grandparents were cartakers of the lodge in the late 1970's early 1980's and I spent a lot of time there in my early life
