Description
Bridge Hotel, Kurow. J O'Neill, proprietor from c 1894 - c 1900. The Bridge Hotel as it was in the late 1800s. This hotel was in Station Street [now Liverpool Street] next to the Kurow railway station. It was destroyed by fire 6 October 1908, when the owner was Mrs Delargy and the licensee Mr J Cahill. The railway station was built 50 yards to the left. the horse on the right is the sire "Stanley". The Waitaki Hotel (built in 1940) replaces this building.
