Fluming in Glen Street, taking water to the Oamaru Borough Council power house in Cross/ Chelmer Streets, late 1917.Water, obtained from the Waitaki River via a 27 mile open race, was used to generate power at the Oamaru Borough Council's power house in Cross St. (Two of the gentlemen could be Alex Ross and Jack McNarry?)
